Why Drywallers Make Better Painters

Most painters complain about bad drywall, and drywallers rarely paint. The reality is simple: paint never hides wall defects—it illuminates them. When you hire a crew that understands sheetrock substrates, your walls are stabilized and repaired before the first gallon of finish paint is ever opened.

  • Peeling & Bubbled Corner Seams: We cut out failed tape, re-bed joints with setting compound, and apply new reinforcement so corners never bubble again.
  • Popped Screws & Settlement Cracks: Fasteners driven too deep or pulled loose are reset into solid wall framing before floating seams flat.
  • Permanent Water Stain Blocking: Water rings and tannins are sealed with an impermeable oil-based primer barrier so stains cannot bleed through the ceiling paint.

Clean Lines and a Protected Home

A high-quality paint job starts long before the brush touches the wall. Homeowners are often nervous about paint splatters on floors or sanding dust settling onto furniture. We maintain a clean jobsite standard from your front door into every workspace.

  • Continuous Floor Protection: Heavy neoprene runners and rosin paper line pathways from exterior entryways straight to the active work area.
  • Furniture Protection: Large furniture items are centered in the room and wrapped under clean plastic sheeting to block dust and paint drops.
  • Personalized Door & Trim Treatment: Baseboards, casings, and doors are finished to your preference: hand-rolled for natural stipple or masked for a spray-applied finish.
  • Finished Room Hand-Off: Switch plates and outlet covers are reinstalled, work floors are swept and vacuumed, and labeled touch-up paint is left on site.

Frequently Asked Questions

Direct answers on how we handle prep, furniture, and jobsite logistics.

Do I need to move all of my furniture out of the room before you paint?
No. You only need to remove small tabletop items, electronics, and fragile personal items. We move large furniture pieces (like beds, dressers, couches, and dining tables) into the center of the room and seal them completely under clean plastic sheeting to protect them from paint drops and drywall dust.
What is the difference between rolling doors vs. spraying them?
Both methods deliver a durable, washable enamel surface. Rolling with a fine-nap or foam roller leaves a subtle, uniform stipple that blends naturally with existing wall textures. Spraying requires full masking of the surrounding room to contain overspray, but produces an ultra-smooth, factory-grade finish with zero roller stipple or brush marks.
How do you match paint if I don't have leftover cans or the paint name?
We carefully take a small, clean paint chip from an inconspicuous area (such as behind an outlet plate or lower corner). We immediately patch, float, and prime that sample spot. The chip is then matched with spectrophotometer technology at the paint counter to reproduce the exact original color and sheen formula.
How do you keep ceiling water stains from bleeding back through?
Water stains dissolve in standard latex paint, which causes brown mineral rings to bleed right back through multiple fresh coats. We seal every water mark with an oil-based primer barrier before applying two uniform coats of dead-flat ceiling paint, permanently locking the stain out.
What is your cleanup process when painting is completed?
When painting is finished, we remove all tape, paper, and drop cloths, reinstall every light switch and outlet cover plate, sweep and vacuum any remaining dust, and leave clearly labeled touch-up paint with you for future maintenance.
